I figure if I am going to give you any advice "forexwise", or even attempt to point you in the right direction, you should know a little about me.  This page will most likely evolve continuously, I want to give you an example of a mindset that will make you a successful "forexer".

"forexwise"- 1) Anything pertaining to the knowledge of forex or having the knowledge of forex.

"forexer"- 1) A person who trades forex, someone who will soon dominate the forex market.

Formalities out of the way... I am a 27 year old guy that grew up and is still living in the same state I have all my life.  I was raised in a strict, methodist, upper middle class home.  My dad grew up poor and worked his butt off to put himself through college and to this day is still working his butt off. He expected and expects the same from me, which is reasonable.  He did instill his work ethic into me, and I was working my butt off to get what I have gotten.  But I was rebellious, all the way.

High school was the worst.  I pretty much tore the edgy relationship I had with my family to shreds.  I was partying too much, doing whatever I wanted, I was invincible.  That mindset carried on into college, where it destroyed me.  I bounced in and out of college for about 2 years then in and out of college kid jobs for two years.  The back to school for a year.  Then my own lanscaping company for three years.  Back to school (I hate school) for six months while working a full time job for minimal pay.  Spinning around in circles, and getting very dizzy.

That spinning came to a screeching halt.  I herneated two discs, because I was working too hard, because of the inherited work ethic, at a job where I was underappreciated and underpaid.  I have to say I am glad that it happened, it is really sobering when you wake up in the morning and can't jump out of bed and if you do manage to make it out your knees feel like they are on fire and you have to jump back into bed till it goes away.

I found forex when I was still spinning aimlessly in circles when I was twenty.  For about five years I would throw a little money here and there at it to see what happened (don't do this).  I learned little from this method.  Yes, I paid attention to what trades I was making and why I was making them, but that was about it.  I praised myself for the winners and found blame/excuses for the losers and money management was non-existant.  I did see the potential foreign exchange had to offer though.

I began to what I thought was "educate myself".  I hate to knock on the forex brokers and most others, but what they are mostly teaching you, is how to scalp the market.  Brokers do this because the more trades you make, the more money they make.  "Others"  can get away with selling you their scalping strategies because they are numerous and complicated.  More on this in the my trading strategy section of this website, but please entertain yourself for a few more minutes and read on.

So, this whole "educate myself" and looking for the "holy grail" of forex trading strategys was getting me no where.  I was consistently taking two steps forward and three back, losing money.  When I was injured, I had a lot of idle time.  I turned again to forex, that work ethic and "not give upness" in me knew that I could conquer the forex market and was more determined than ever to do so since I couldn't rely on my back to make me money anymore and I did.  I now consider myself "forexwise" enough to share my thought about trading strategy, and would like to supply newcomers and experts alike where I aquired some of this knowledge so you, Forexer, can educate yourself.  Go to the                             page.
